Electric Elephant has announced even more new acts! Joining the already incredible lineup from the 10th – 14th July are the likes of seminal DJs Derrick May and Francois K! Derrick May is known as one of the pioneers of techno music in Detroit, and will be playing at the gorgeous outdoor setting of Barbarella’s nightclub. Francois K will be looking to cement another set in the Electric Elephant history books with 6 hours of music varying from dub, soul, jazz and disco.
Debutant Munk has also been announced; co-owner of Germany’s leading Indie Disco & Future House label GOMMA, and hotly tipped as one of the leading producers in the country. He will be joined by Andy Meecham, aka The Emperor Machine: a solo project born out of the Chicken Lips‘ member’s desire to create new sounds using vintage equipment and seventies production techniques.
They join recently added names including Good Times founder Norman Jay, celebrated beat master Motor City Drum Ensemble, Panorama Bar resident Prosumer and the intriguing Awesome Tapes From Africa. Previously announced guests include Chez Damier, Horse Meat Disco, FCL, Justin Robertson, Ashley Beedle, Rahaan, Max Essa, The Numero Group, Begin (James Holroyd), Stevie Kotey (Ambassador’s Reception), Man Power, Neil Diablo and Joe’s Bakery.
