Samsung has took the opportunity to show off its new smart watch with a series of space-age inspired ad campaigns. The Gear 2 watch, which is due for release in September, was teased at Samsung’s Galaxy Note 5 launch on Thursday. The company then released a photo shoot with a fashion edge, which showed the watch alongside other gadgets including some of its latest smart phones.
Samsung has already teamed up with a number of apps – including CNN, Yelp and Nike – for the Gear 2. Features on the smart watch will include a digital crown and bezel ring, for navigation purposes, and wireless charging. It will come in a 3G-connected model and a Bluetooth version, and both are expected to support wi-fi.
The Samsung Gear 2 will be officially unveiled on September 3rd at IFA 2015. There has been no information with regards to the pricing, but Samsung’s previous smart watch, the Gear S, retailed for £329.
