For the first time, PANTONE has launched a two shades as their Colour of the Year. Rose Quartz and Serenity reflect warm and cool tones and a connection between order and peace.

PANTONE has explained the decision behind the Colour(s) of the Year: “In many parts of the world, we are experiencing a gender blur as it relates to fashion, which has in turn impacted color trends throughout all other areas of design … a generation that has less concern about being typecast or judged and an open exchange of digital information … has opened our eyes to different approaches to color usage.”

ASOS Lavish Bandeau Bodycon Dress Pantone

As the wedding season is approaching, most of us probably have at least one wedding to attend without having a clue what to wear.

If you hadn’t guessed already, the majority of brides and wedding planners were screaming with joy as PANTONE’s colour of the year was announced. Yep, Rose Quartz and Serenity are both simply perfect wedding theme colours. Pinterest is already filled with tons of inspo featuring the pastel shades.

So, chances are, many brides will be incorporating these colours in wedding decorations, invitations etc, which means you can fit right into your surroundings. And, if you don’t have any weddings to attend this year, these dresses are still ideal for any other special event!

The best thing about these two soft shades is that they go with so many colors, making both of them really versatile. If you wish to go for an elegant look, stick to subtle make-up and delicate jewelry, like pearl earrings and simple rings. Though, if you want to make a statement with your outfit, go for a pair of fun heels with embellishment or patterns, and rock a colorful shade of lipstick.
