Ex Asking Alexandria front man Danny Worsnop has been busy running with his new band We Are Harlot and we’ve only been hearing good things for the past few months. Recently though the Harlot boys made their first appearance at Download Festival and we went to see what all the fuss was about.

Performing a string of songs from their debut self-titled album, We Are Harlot owned the Zippo Encore Stage with Worsnop strutting that floor like a total rock star complete with decorated mic stand. Worsnop also demonstrated his amazing vocal range, something that what definitely lacking in his work with Asking Alexandria. He absolutely nailed those high notes in ‘Denial’ and ‘Dancing On Nails’. We were even treated to a rendition of Queen’s ‘Tie Your Mother Down’, talk about patriotic.

Harlot gave us it all, from new age rock numbers like the ever so catchy ‘The One’, emotional rock ballads like ‘Someday’ and a heavy rock banger to close in the form of ‘One More Night’. We Are Harlot are without a doubt destined to be one of the next big names in modern rock, with such a committed fan base already at their finger tips, a killer debut album and an impressive debut Download Festival appearance, expect to hear some big Harlot news real soon. Maybe a full UK tour cycle eh guys? Pretty please?
