After forming in 2011 New York rockers Water Knot have reached strength after strength with their sweet blend of riffs and twangs bringing us the thigh quaking ‘Sometimes’ two years from their conception.
‘Big Brother’ taps in with a simple, stomping drum beat that pulls through the track, the vocals inclining with the guitars as ‘Big Brother’ reaches a jagged riff that follows a tittering drum that well and truly welcomes Water Knot to the fore front of rock and roll. ‘Revelations’ has a groovy vocal vibe with swathing layers of guitars and eccentric sounds. Each Water Knot track has this idiosyncratic feel, as if each instrument signs of a renowned WK sound.
Title track ‘Sometimes‘ trickles in with hallucinogenic vocals that head up to magnetic guitars that juxtapose the serene track. ‘Ready‘ then hits one rhetoric question after the next as riffs entwine and convolute. The track oozes beauty swaying through our ears and tranquilizing any worries.
Water Knot’s single ‘Lust’ will have your primal instincts itching. Rife with riffs and thick fat drums have lead the single to be featured in Sylvester Stallone’s new film ‘Homefront‘ so don’t say we didn’t tell you Water Knot are going to be massive.
