Artist: Crash Mansion
Album: Live For Something
Release Date: Out Now
Crash Mansion are a five-piece Hard Rock and Metal band hailing from South Essex. They have released their debut EP “Live For Something”.
The EP opens with ‘Your Prison’ and the first thing you are hit with are the heavy guitar riffs, even in the opening you can hear their influences start to come trough. The riffs and drums feel very Avenged Sevenfold and Guns N’ Roses esque, then you hear the power of Chirs Page’s vocals. He puts so much emotion behind them as well as his impressive growls and howls during the track.
The second track ‘Live For Something’ has a more commercial feel to it and it should be getting radio and video play, if you are looking for a track as an introduction to the band this is the one for you. The track is a lost faster paced then the others on the EP.‘Money’ is very guitar driven and has a very hard rock vibe in the intro. The bass is a very prominent part in track, and the setup for the chorus is very well done. The solo is very fast paced and there is a real Avenged Sevenfold feel to it.
‘Hell And Desire’ has more of a metal vibe and you really expect M Shadows from Avenged Sevenfold to start singing. The chorus as a lot less busy and feels more like ‘Almost Easy’ by A7X because it’s more vocal driven. The EP finishes on ‘The Other Side’, which is a more emotional song, written about the dream state and the emotions you feel when you wake up. The track fades out and leaves you wanting something more. That is my only issue with the EP.
I really enjoyed this album and if you are looking for something that sounds like Avenged Sevenfold, but has cleaner vocals then M Shadows I would recommend this. I’m looking forward to seeing what they do in the future.
