Artist: Bleak Falls
Album: The Grass Gets No Greener
Release Date: Out Now
A name has never suited a band quite like Bleak Falls suits them. Bleak Falls are a melodic hardcore band from Sussex.
The opening track on The Grass Gets No Greener is ‘Forever/Always’ and you are instantly hit with the pure emotion that has gone into the writing of these songs; you can literally feel the vocalist’s pain. The punk-powered ‘’95’ launches into a full blown assault of the senses. Just as emotionally intense as the previous track but with more of a punk feel to the guitars and drums. Third track ‘A Taste Of Change’ however, doesn’t really give you the change that you need, and the EP really needs, and it starts to sound like you are listening to one really long song. The only way you can distinguish between the tracks is the 2 seconds of silence after a solid end of track. ‘Put Me To Sleep’ is the final song on The Grass Gets No Greener and a successful end to the EP.
Bleak Falls have something about them and are definitely moving in the right direction with this EP. If they keep up the hard work and push forward they could make it one day.
