Hi, what are you looking for?

Review: 50 Cent – Before I Self Destruct

Name: 50 Cent
Release: Before I Self Destruct
Release Date: 16th Nov 2009

Label: Polydor

Allow me to re introduce the slightly psychotic 50 Cent who in 2003 leap frogged over those knocking on the door of the rap industry and stumbled ‘In The Club’ with ’21 Questions’, one of which should have been how did I manage to sell 13 millions records while ‘Many Men’ were ‘Patiently Waiting’!?

50’s latest work of art is definatly a masterpiece set to sell record numbers. Although the audio has been leaked on the internet, the album comes with a film directed by 50 himself and a documentary on Jam Master Jay, once again ‘Pimpin Curly’ is thinking outside the box.

Admittedly 50 slightly disappointed us with his last project ‘Curtis’ and all though he definatly made his apology to us with this album he isn’t so kind to his foes. In this release he goes at everybody! The verbal abuse almost made me want to start a helpline for rappers! From Jay-Z to Rick Ross, Young Buck, The Game and even his baby mother! (Shaneowa) certain parts of this album made me feel like I was listening to Jeremy Kyle lol.

If you’re into ‘Gangsta Rap’ and enjoyed ‘Get Rich Or Die Tryin’ you’ll love ‘Before I Self Destruct’. This is the cloest thing the rap scene has produced to it since 2003…….. 50 gets ‘So So Disrespectful’…..It’s a definate purchase….. If ‘Kiff doesn’t fire me I might even get to review the film!

Tune for The Whip: So Disrespectful
Tune For The Chicks: Baby By Me (ft. Neyo)
Tune To Skip: Gangsta’s Delight
Rating: 4.75/5

Anyways Im Signing Out…Peace
