Live Review: TRC – White Rabbit, Plymouth – 30/11/12

We reviewed the latest TRC show in Plymouth which saw support from A Wolf At Your Doors finest, POLAR. Check out what we thought of the show inside..

Band: TRC
Support: POLAR
Venue: White Rabbit, Plymouth
Date: 30/11/12

Plymouth has an undoubted love for hardcore shows so this one was just another walk in the park for its strong fan base at local venue the White Rabbit. TRC are very much respected in this neck of the woods and the last time their support POLAR were playing this venue they overly impressed just as much.

Since their last appearance in Plymouth POLAR have released a debut album, titled ‘Iron Lungs’, which dropped earlier this year. As well as that the band have played countless shows and festivals in 2012. This five piece are very much a live band, stick these guys on a stage and they will justify that statement. Expect fast paced guitars and welcomed mental vocals from leading man Adam Woodford; anyone who can hype a crowd up as much as he can is clearly born to front a rock band.

‘H.E.L.L’ is undoubtedly these guys front running track from their latest album offering, Plymouth’s crowd reaction proved that. These guys are not everyones cup of tea but live they most certainly impress, go watch them and see for yourselves. 7/10

Seeing we came to this show tonight actually for the guys in POLAR it was great to have a nice surprise in how much we were impressed by the guys in TRC. Their latest EP ‘The Story So Far’ is definitely owns some of their best track offerings; the lyrics for example are impressively punchy and cleverly written and their overall energetic sound just tops it all off.

TRC

They had so much crowd reaction and participation; the room was buzzing and impressively busy, it was awesome to watch. Best tracks for us were ‘#TEAMUK’ and ‘Go Hard Or Go Home’, the crowd went completely nuts throughout both. A mention must go to vocalist Chris Robson for his shout out to One Direction. He stood there in front of a judgemental audience and bigged up every genre of music, major respect to him for that.

We look forward to the next time we can see these guys in action again, we love being impressed. Hats off to them! 8/10
