The wild fivesome that is Black Veil Brides hit Exeter like a bomb when they headed to the small city of Exeter. The venue, like pretty much all the dates on their tour, was sold out which started the night off perfectly with a jam packed crowd. Everyone was squashed and sweaty when the group one by one ventured into into the spotlight.
Hundreds of voices roared as final member, vocalist Andy Sixx, jumped on stage. The groups fashion attire was completely in tune with the bucket loads of eyeliner, lipstick and war paint – definitely a yummy concoction for a fun night!
Within seconds, the music boomed from the amps as speedy riffs flew out. Although the venue’s sound wasn’t amazing, the onlooking BVB Army went crazy, like cats to cat-nip. All eyes and arms (and any other limb!) were stretched out and drawn towards the American rockers.
The top songs of the night had to be the hit singles, just for the fact that a song sounds so much more powerful with 800 people screaming along with it! ‘The Legacy’ and ‘Knives And Pens’ went down an absoloute treat.
A cover of Billy Idol’s ‘Rebel Yell’ gave an even bigger oomph, giving BVB an even meaner and rebellious reputation. Bringing back an old classic will never fail to please a crowd of rock monsters. A mind blowing drum solo from CC (aka Christian Coma) left the audience in awe as the band prepered for the finale.
Ending with the night with the huge hit ‘Fallen Angels’ the tightly packed crowd had a final rave. It was the perfect ending, uniting BVB and their BVB Army as one; the fallen angels.
Overall, a very pleasing night!
