Myles Kennedy may be best known as lead vocalist for rock band Alter Bridge, and for stints with music royalty Slash – but he is, in fact, an outstanding solo artist. Kennedy has recently released ‘Haunted By Design’, the second single to be aired from his upcoming album Year of the Tiger – due for release on March 9th.
The album is Kennedy’s very first solo venture, embracing music and production methods he hasn’t explored in his career so far. The album is slated as a bluesy-Americana sound, with hints of country and rock explored through a variety of exotic instruments.
His latest single, ‘Haunted By Design’ reinforces this interesting concept. The track is melodic from the start, pushing subtle country vocals into a track with soft rock undertones. It’s slower than we’ve come to expect, but still with snappy and racing instrumentals to make it compelling enough for an immediate second listen.
