Alternative-Metal Somerset band Apherium will be releasing their new EP Neoteric, September 22nd. The compliation is rammed with sonic sledgehammer fists-in-the-air choruses and explosive rhythms that promise to melt your ears.

The EP works to project the current sound of the band, opening up with  ‘New Light’, which kick-starts the EP with duelling guitar lines, featured greatly in a breakdown and progressive phrasing. Offering something more stripped back ‘Silver Tongues’ contains some  soaring riffs, but a mellow ease in comparison to other tracks. Similarly,  ‘Angels Of Our Nature’, is looser with the hardcore sounds, but contemplates a heartwarming sentiment of fate, and the odd twists and turns life throws our way.The EP also features their past single ‘Shadows’ which takes the metal beat back up, interchanging between subtle riffs and smashing cymbals. Lastly, ‘Rise Again’ closes the EP, oozes out delicate melodic hooks, the track that seems to really highlight Larry Tunrer’s vocals.

With the national launch of the EP lined up for September, and the foursome ready to hit the UK with widespread touring, look out for extensive shows soon to be announced for the remainder of the year.

Currently unsigned Apherium are tackling the metal music scene, in attempts to offer something that can relate to all ages of metal-heads. The EP can be pre-order now, and comes with an immediate download of ‘Silver Tongues’.
