Real Friends have been a busy bunch lately, with the release of a brand new track just being the tip of the iceberg. The band have revealed the new single ‘Scared to Be Alone‘, which has been released with a music video, this week.
You can check out the new video below:
‘Scared to Be Alone‘ is taken from the upcoming album The Home Inside My Head, which is set for release next month. But that’s not all – Real Friends have also got a whole load of tours, gigs and festivals coming up this year. It’s a lot to take in, so why not let us catch you up to speed? Here’s just about everything you need to know about what Real Friends are getting up to in 2016:
1. New Album
Real Friends have got a brand new album coming up, which is possibly the biggest date in the band’s diary this year. The new album, The Home Inside My Head, is scheduled for release on 27th May via Fearless Records. It’s the band’s second album, following on from their debut Maybe This Place Is The Same, And We’re Just Changing.
2. One-Off US Tour Dates
Okay, so this might not be all that relevant to us over in the UK, but it’s still pretty cool; Real Friends began rallying up support for the new album by revealing a string of unusual venues across the country, with each ticket only costing $5 for a full show in venues that are often overlooked by bands on tour.
3. Warped Tour
Again, something not all us Brits can be part of but, for those who are making the pilgrimage to the US’ biggest alternative touring festival, you can expect to see Real Friends there. The band announced their spot on the festival, which has hosted almost every punk, pop-punk and rock band under the sun since it began, earlier this year, and we know fans and the band are going to have the best time.
4. Slam Dunk
Fear not if you can’t make it to Warped Tour because Real Friends are heading over this side of the pond for the British equivalent! They have managed to bag themselves a spot at Slam Dunk festival, which visits three venues across the country in May and is the closest we get to a pop-punk touring festival in this country, so we’re stoked that Real Friends are going to be there!
5. UK Date
To warm up for the aforementioned Slam Dunk, Real Friends have announced a very special UK show at Kingston’s The Hippodrome on their album release date (27th May, don’t forget!) just before they play the festival – and to celebrate the release of their brand new album, of course! Make sure you try and be part of this very special show.
