Ed Sheeran has appeared on Jimmy Fallon‘s The Tonight Show performing covers of Limp Bizkit‘s ‘Break Stuff‘ and Iron Maiden‘s ‘Run to the Hills‘.
The performance was part of a comedy skit on the late night chat show in which Ed promoted his ‘new album’, heavy metal record Death Sheeran.
The mild-mannered singer is swapping his pop-rock hits for “the darkest, most skull crushing songs ever written.”
Of course, the album and performance is a spoof – but still, could this spark a new sound for Ed Sheeran? (for the sake of both acoustic pop and heavy metal, we hope not!)
