British alt rock quintet Youth Killed It have released their new single ‘Popstar’. The track is the first from the band’s recently announced debut album Modern Bollotics. The record is set for release on the 12th May via Rude Records.
“This track is pretty much exactly what it says on the tin,” says the band. “You know how the old story goes. Boy starts band, boy thinks he can be a popstar, then boy quickly realises he looks like a Cheshire cat mated with The Rock and bam that dream is over…”
“For the video, we wanted to create that awful karaoke / Elvis tribute act feel, so that’s exactly what we did.”
