Switzerland based Emo/ Indie powerhouse band Cold Reading have just released their huge new single ‘Books & Comfort’ which has been taken from their upcoming EP Sojourner which is due out on 22nd September.
Having supported the likes of The Get Up Kids, Four Year Strong, Such Gold, The Hotelier and many more they’ve had enough experience live. Taking influence from bands such as Brand New and Thrice the band have delicate vocals mixed with powerful riff filled guitars and the new single is full of passion and power.
Vocalist Mike Portmann explains about the single: “The song is about the deep desire to slip in another body and be somebody else. Sometimes you wake up and feel like all your problems can be solved by running away. But as a matter of fact, this is just an illusion. Eventually, it all comes down to learning how to deal with your weaknesses and fears and trying to change them into something good in order to find comfort.”
