Since the unexpected departure of front man, Mikey Chapman, last week, Mallory Knox are now a four-piece. Bassist, Sam Douglas has stepped up to take on lead vocals and ‘Black Holes’ is their first track with him as their new front man
‘I think it shows a completely different side to my voice’ said Sam in a recent interview
The change up with Sam on vocals still has the traditional Mallory Knox sound, yet slightly heavier and more mature than we’re used to hearing, but it works well, Black Holes is more aggressive than their usual sound. The track focuses on how we feel compelled to post every thought we have online and the negative thoughts and reactions that can often come with it.
Whilst we’re certain Mikey will be missed, we’re looking forward for what Mallory Knox has in store for us in the future.
