Let’s face it, most of us have used Tinder right? Bristolian nu-metal/post-hardcore trio Beyond Recall have penned a song tackling the subject of online dating, titled ‘Almost’, and have unveiled a social network-inspired lyric video to go along with it. The track is available as a pay-what-you-want download and is lifted from the band’s upcoming new EP, due to be released late August.
‘Almost’ explores how the youth of today no longer develop relationships the good ol’ fashioned, face-to-face way – instead its all through social media. Frontman Zaid Elgahmi says, “We played ‘Almost’ during our last tour with The Afterparty this past March, and the response to it was so overwhelming, people were actually singing the lyrics by the time the last chorus came around.”
One listen of the track and it’s not hard to see why! Mixing post-hardcore elements with nu-metal style grooves and rapped verses, Beyond Recall create an infectious and energetic sound which is reflected at their live shows.
