The Budweiser Made in America Festival is an annual music festival held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania which launched in September 2012. Sponsored by Anheuser-Busch, the event features several stages that continuously host live music from a wide range of genres including hip hop, rock, pop, R&B, and EDM. There are dozen’s of festivals which bring together these different genres, but none quite the way this has. The environment, sentiments and motivations which brought Jay to do something like this are unique. Not to mention having a varied and incredibly talented line up such as that.
Signature Entertainment’s Jon Bourdillon said, “We are proud to release ‘Made In America’ in the UK. With the collaboration of great talents including Ron Howard as director and one of the world’s best-selling artists of all time, Jay-Z, it is the must-see music feature film of the year.”
Ron Howard has directed such blockbusters as ‘Apollo 13’, ‘How The Grinch Stole Christmas’, ‘Frost/Nixon’, and most recently ‘Rush’. He is one of the most respected and talented names in the film industry and with him at the helm of this exciting documentary, its sure to be fascinating. The producer Brian Grazer, is a giant in the film industry, but has a personal interest in hip-hop, directing Eminem’s ‘8-Mile’. Of course hip-hop giant Jay Z needs no introduction, and everyone is sure he will be able to add this to his incredible CV, which already includes epic hip-hop documentaries; ‘Backstage’ and ‘Fade To Black’. Check out the trailer to ‘Fade To Black’ below to give you an idea of how provocative Jigga can be when bringing together filmography and live concerts.
