Childish Gambino releases his highly anticipated Gangster Grillz hosted mixtape, ‘STN MTN / Kauai‘. The mixtape hosted by DJ Drama has 18 brand new tracks and is split in two parts, STN MTN & Kauai.
Gangsta Grillz mixtapes are usually street anthems however Gambino explained the mixtape has a concept to it. The STN MTN part is a dream that eventually leads into a woken up EP, KAUAI, which is introduced by Jaden Smith as a narrator. Gambino said this about the project:
“It’s a Gangsta Grillz mixtape that goes into an EP. The Gangsta Grillz mixtape is a dream, and the dream ends when I wake up in Kauai. And they go into each other; it’s one complete project. You can download the mixtape and you can go buy the EP. The money from the EP goes to help keeping Kauai clean, It’s a cool project.”
