Returning to a fully sold out UK and European tour, We Are Augustines are very happy chaps indeed! After filming the video for their new single ‘Juarez’, which was released only a few days ago, the band have unleashed a behind the scenes look at the making of.
The stand out track on the critically acclaimed album ‘Rise Ye Sunken Ships’, ‘Juarez’, is a song written about the Mexican town that exists on the southern border of the United States that has been destroyed by rising levels of escalating violence created by local drug wars leaving more than 80,000 young people unemployed and over 100,000 lost jobs due to closed businesses.
We Are Augustines’ singer Billy McCarthy had an exciting trip himself, when he cut his hand and needed 70 stitched to patch it up whilst recording the new album in Chicago.
The band will also be hitting up some festivals, so don’t miss them at:
JULY
07 – Scotland – T In The Park Festival
15 – Southwold – Latitude Festival
