At the Revolver Golden Gods Awards in Los Angeles last night (April 23rd), audience members were greeted to an unannounced performance by Slayer, which included the band’s first new studio recording in 5 years. “Implode” was recorded earlier this year in Los Angeles and is the band’s way of saying thank you to fans for their continued support. Guitarist Kerry King said “You have been waiting for us, now we are delivering for you.” Fans can download the track at the link below:

Fans asking if this is a sign of things to come..the answer is, yes! After their remaining summer tour dates, Slayer will begin recording a new album, tentatively set for an early 2015 release.
