Sex Pistols Stream ‘Belsen Was A Gas’

The recorded version of controversial track ‘Belsen Was A Gas’ was only discovered earlier this year, but you can give it a listen right here.

To promote the release of the limited edition deluxe box set of ‘Never Mind The Bollocks, Here’s The Sex Pistols’ the band have decided to release the controversion ‘Belsen Was A Gas’.  The song was penned by Sid Vicious prior to joining the band and is arguably one of the bands most controversial songs. The song became a part of the bands set from December 1977 with the added vocals of Johnny Rotton but the track has never been aired before now.

Previously the only versions of this track that existed were live versions or a recorded version Post- Rotton featuring Ronnie Biggs on vocal duties. The recovery of the studio demo was only discovered earlier this year and caused huge excitement amongst avid fans. The demo was thought to have been lost over the years but has now been re-mastered and will appear on the forthcoming 35th anniversary super deluxe edition of ‘Never Mind The Bollocks, Here’s The Sex Pistols’. The album is due for release through Universal Records on September 24th.
