Red Bull Studios have premiered a new short film called ‘Cut Your Teeth’. Featuring the likes of Frank Turner, Mallory Knox, Deaf Havana and Don Broco, this film will take the viewer on a journey exploring the alternative culture and getting started in the world of rock. The film can be viewed right here:

Did that leave you inspired? Good, because applications are now open for this year’s Live At Download. Following last year’s success of the nationwide search, Red Bull Studios are back at it again to give eight unsigned acts the opportunity to play alongside this year’s headliners Avenged Sevenfold, Linkin Park and Aerosmith at Download Festival 2014.

Okay, this is how it all works. Starting now, you can head over to www.redbullstudios.com/download to create a profile for your band and upload a video as long as you match the following criteria:

* Aged between 16 and 25
* UK resident
* Unsigned
* Available to attend Red Bull Studio on May 5th-9th & Download Festival on June 13th-15th.

Once you’ve submitted your details and video, make sure to spread the word! Your appearance at the festival will be voted on by the general public. At 5pm on April 21st, 100 bands will be shortlisted to go through before they go through to a panel of judges, consisting of Kerrang! Radio presenter Katie P, Radio 1’s Huw Stephens, Red Bull Records label manager Angie Somerside, as well as Download Festival veterans Don Broco. From these 100 bands, 15 chosen ones will be announced on April 25th.

Those 15 bands will be given the chance to travel down to Red Bull Studios in London between May 5th and 9th, where you will get an exclusive recording experience. Your time at the studio will include:

* Recording a track in the studio with expert producers
* Mentoring from the judging panel
* Professional press photos for your band
* Media training to help you get those headlines… for the right reasons!
* Fender workshops
* Other surprises revealed on the day

On May 16th, short films of all 15 bands will go online for the public to vote for their favourites. Six bands will be decided on by the public and two wildcards will be chosen by the judges, with four bands getting the chance to perform the weekend of June 13th to 15th at Download Festival. Exciting, isn’t it? So what are you waiting for? Get your band signed up for the chance of a lifetime!
