Red Bull Studios Live At Download Reveal Final 15 Bands

The final 15 acts have been confirmed for the Red Bull Studios Live at Download Competition, see who has made the cut inside!

It’s that time of year again, as you, the public have the fate of the final 15 bands to make it to the closing stages of the Red Bull Studios competition. What’s on offer is a dream for any unsigned band, as the winners will be performing at this years legendary Download Festival, how about that for a slice of fried gold.

After months of searching high and low, these final 15 were shortlisted from the top 100 who were voted for by the public as well as leading industry experts such as Kerrang! Radio’s Katie P, Radio 1’s very own Huw Stephens and the lads in Don Broco.

Introducing the lucky 15 bands whose destiny lies in your hands.

A Mouth Full Of Matches

This 5-piece had already been making waves within the rock scene, with their debut EP receiving 3 KKK’s from Kerrang! this fresh-faced mob are looking to set the world on fire with their melodic modern day rock. With second EP Smoke Signals being recorded under the guidance of grammy nominated producer Matt Hyde, this band sure have some pedigree!


Hailing from Nottingham this quartet are hoping their alternative rock sound does enough to wow the judges and the voters, which will see them play to the masses at Donington. With BBC introducing giving them bags of coverage there is something quite exciting brewing here, check out their video for ‘Lost At Sea’.

Bentley Park

Formed in 2011, these northern lads are looking to break away from their pop-punk days and turn their attention to the heavier side of the force. Their UK post-hardcore has been turning heads since their inception and it looks like these guys know how to riff, just listen to their track ‘All The Fists In The World Wont Save You Now’!

Breathe In The Silence

Take a breathe, whats that you hear? thats the sound of waves crashing down on you, with this lots take on post-hardcore really getting the heart racing. Hailing from the valleys, this welsh quintet’s latest track ‘Out Of Sight’ is a rather catchy number as they hope it does enough to get them to Donington!

Call It Reckless

Hailing from Norfolk, this female fronted pop punk band have already supported some pretty big acts, having played with Neck Deep, Fearless Vampire Killers and The First. With shows like this already under their belts, they are hoping their infectious sound will be enough to win us all over!

Chasing Cadence

This quintet have already found themselves supporting big guns, like Taking Back Sunday and Don Broco, as well as smashing up Takedown Festival this year, it would seem 2014 is going to be a huge turning point in these lads career. Check out their alternative rock anthem ‘Paper Sails’ below!

Chinese Missy

This London 4-piece are all about reigniting the glory days of good old fashioned rock n roll as they believe their music should do all the talking as they bring they hope to bring their high octane live show to the plains of Donington. Create To Inspire

Hailing from Essex, which is a place now associated with TOWIE, this guys are coming up the rear to show that this part of the UK is producing some of the most exciting new bands in hardcore and metal. These lads are intent on unleashing chaos with their metallica riffage and hardcore breakdowns, prepare to mosh!

For All The Wrong Reasons

Describing themselves as a cross between The Story So Far and Deaf Havana these Lincolnshire lads bring their melodic punk to the competition, hoping that their infectious hooks and upbeat chorus’s are enough to get them a gig on the Red Bull Stage at this years Download Festival!


Formed in 2009, these tech metallers are all about bringing the groove and melody that is the cornerstone of any tech metal band. Having played at festivals like Euroblast and Tech-Fest already, these guys have already built up a solid live show that would make Download quake at its knees! Check out their track ‘Through The Smoke’.

Life On Standby

These Scottish Electro rockers have been making waves in the highlands since their creation back in 2011, the four piece have spent their time tuning their live show and are currently working on a brand new album. The female-fronted rockers are hoping their track ‘Shadows’ ticks all the boxes!

Out For Tomorrow

With their first full length album now making waves, this lot have found themselves getting regular play on the likes of Scuzz TV with their You Me At Six inspired sound perfect for unleashing potential anthems. Having already played with UK champs Deaf Havana and Lower Than Atlantis, this band are building a decent pedigree.

Sinners Highway

This baby faced metal outfit from Nottingham have already conquered their home city, with a sold a out show at the infamous Rock City Basement just after the release of their debut EP there has been a lot of attention surronding this band already. Having played the likes of Hit The Deck Festival, venues like Islington Academy, Download should be a walk in the park!

They Say Fall

More northern talent, with these lads residing in Lincolnshire, they are hoping that their unique blend of post-hardcore and rock has enough to win over the judges when it comes to the big decision. Offering us with their track ‘Poseidon’, they are hoping to make waves with this track!

Vanity Draws Blood

Meet south-west London’s newest metalcore band, with their blend of melodic riffs and hard hitting vocals, these guys will certainly create some chaos if picked to play this years Download. The 6 piece come armed and ready with a two pronged vocal attack, that will no doubt ensue many mosh pits.

SO, what happens next?

Between the 5-9th May the bands will be heading down to the Red Bull Studios to perform live which get recorded and will be shown from the 16th May for fans to decide who gets their all important vote. 6 bands will be chosen by the public with the judges picking 2 from this lucky bunch.
