Read the details on the new QOTSA 7″ Single!

In celebratation of the reissue of Queen Of The Stone Ages 1998 self-titled album, the bands very own Josh Homme’s of Rekords Rekords label will be releasing a very special limited edition seven inch single. This will feature ‘How To Handle A Rope (A Lesson In The Lariat) (taken from the aforementioned debut LP) accompanied by the B-side ‘Avon’. Every single will be individually numbered and is rumoured to only have 1000 copies avalible worldwide. These will be avalible through Rekords Rekords label in partnership with Domino on February 28th.

Dont worry those of you who fear not getting a copy and a chance of hearing the tracks as the band has confirmed they will be peforming all the tracks off the LP on their 20 city tour this spring. The tour doesnt include United Kingdom, but for those of you who are reading from the states, tickets go on sale Friday at Ticketmaster and can be bought on pre-sale Thursday. Queens Of The Stone Age are currently in the studio writing their first album since 2007’s ‘Era Vulgaris’. Guitarist Dean Fertita had previously said “We’ve got so many ideas started already i guess we’ll see what turns out to be everybody’s favourite”.

In my opinion anyone who wont have a chance to attend one of their 20 city tours this spring should definatly try to get a copy of the single, not only for its music but also for its exclusiveness.
