The UK’s new 3 day rock festival, Merthyr Rock, is back for it’s second year in a row. Based in the heart of Wales, the festival brings a mix of home-grown talent and bands from further afield, and this year is guaranteed to be a scorcher! Among the first bands announced are none other than Razorlight, Kids In Glass Houses, Deaf Havana, Saves The Day, Yashin, and Arcane Roots.
Having played the festival in it’s first run last year, Kids In Glass Houses are thrilled to be playing Merthyr Rock again.
The released this statement: “We curated a stage at Merthyr Rock last year and spent the day at the festival having a great time. Now this year we’re honoured to be playing what is set to be a fantastic weekend.”
Festival director Rhodri Jones also seems extremely positive about this years’ line up, saying: “We had an incredible response to the festival last year, and this year’s event is going to be bigger, better, bolder and an awesome way to end this Summer.”
The festival will run from Friday 31st August- Sunday 2nd September 2012. Special weekend Earlybird tickets are now on sale for £55 (until noon Monday 2nd July). Other ticket information including day tickets will be announced soon. Camping at Grawen Farm is £15 per person, for 3 nights (Friday, Saturday and Sunday).
