So it looks like a case of handbags at dawn for the likes of Gene Simmons of Kiss and Axl Rose of Guns N’ Roses. Why is this so? we hear you ask, well, in a recent interview with Music-News.com, Simmons stated that Axl Rose should be given a “good beating” as he claims the Guns N’ Roses Frontman’s backstage antics involving drug use, had prevented the band from being “The best band in the world”.
“Guns N’ Roses could have been the best band in the world and the reason they’re not is because of Axl Rose. Drugs, heroin, alcohol and all that but ultimately it falls on Axl Rose’s shoulders.” The Kiss frontman said. However, in response to a question about what the Guns N Roses singer could have done to change his ways, Mr. Simmons added “A good beating would have helped. When you misbehaved as a little kid there’s someone there to give you what for. Then, when you become a grown-up, who’s there to set you straight?”
However, in a recent interview with VH1’s ‘The Metal Show’, Axl Rose himself put the blame of the bands bad reputation for being late to their shows, upon the shoulders of Bandmate Slash and his management team. Come on boys… sort it out.
