This weekend at Download Festival something happened which has left pretty much everyone in complete and utter confusion. First thing on Saturday a band called Iceman Thesis played on both the Pepsi Max and Red Bull stages at the same time of 11am. These stages if you aren’t familiar with the Download layout are the furthest apart you can get!
A band complete in balaclava’s/ masks came onstage and played one single song of complete and utter mayhem. After the set they threw some masks into the crowd which had a mystery VHS tape inside. Both stages had exactly the same thing playing and the same look! We had people at both stages and are none the wiser. Was one the real Iceman Thesis and one a decoy?! If so Andy Copping the head of Download Festival was at the Pepsi Max Stage so that’s got to mean something right?!
Someone thankfully has found use of a VHS player (god knows where) and has put the results online but we still aren’t sure. Could it be super group This Is Menace? Their name is an anagram of Iceman Thesis. But to us the vocals sound surprisingly like Liam Cormier’s from Cancer Bats.
