Four Year Strong Helps Promote Energy In New Video

Check out the brand new video for Four Year Strong’s ‘Go Down In History’ as well as our views on moshing at live shows.

Four Year StrongWhy is it that most festivals, and live venues are frightened by the word ‘moshing’ these days? Recently we were lucky enough to be invited to attend Download Festival, and while we were there, we saw a good number of mosh pits and circle pits, but it was becoming increasingly apparent that the bands themselves weren’t initiating them, or energizing the crowds. The answer? They weren’t allowed to. Dani Winter-Bates, lead vocalist for metalcore band Bury Tomorrow explicitly said that he “really liked circles“, and that he wanted people to know what he meant, but wasn’t allowed to explicitly say it.

Four Year Strong have just released a brand new video for their track ‘Go Down In History‘, highlighting the crowds energy and passion while the band are playing. The video was filmed during this year’s North American Warped Tour, and during the video you can see “No Moshing” signs quite visibly.

Are festivals really that scared of legal action if someone injures themselves now? In the end its the person’s responsibility for their own well being during a show, not the venues, and if they hurt themselves, then its their own fault. Do we really live in a culture these days were people can’t be responsible for their actions, and its always someone else’s fault.

Four Year Strong are keeping the mood alive, lets not get rid of the energy, lets keep getting involved, keep the live shows how they’re meant to be and look out for each other like we always have been.
