Gearing up for their main stage opening slot at this year’s Sonisphere Festival, London metallers The Defiled have released a brand new video for their track ‘Infected‘.
In a feast for the eyes, the video itself is a stunning 3D animation of a epidemic infection, created by the London based Smoke and Guns Production, while the band themselves perform in a fire and stripper filled morgue.
“We’ve done performance videos, we’ve tried our hand at acting, and our last video did not even have us in it, so we wanted to try something different this time” says frontman Stitch D. “With animation, anything is possible – if we want a helicopter, no problem, if we want a massive machine gun mounted on a jeep, ditto. It might be nice to have real strippers and pyro but for now this does the job nicely.”
“Fuck yeah!” echoes The AvD. “Suicide, murder, disease, fire, helicopters, machine guns, strippers and lego – this has got it all.”
The video is also the last one to feature guitarist Aaron Curse, who has now left the band. The video itself nicely shows his ultimate demise. The AvD adds “We are sad to see him go, but you can’t fuck with fate. He is probably down there in hell right now, creeping out Satan and his minions. He will be missed.”
You can catch The Defiled opening main stage Friday 4th July at this year’s Sonisphere Festival, their first show as a four piece. Meanwhile Nirvana Defiled, closes the Bohemia stage on the Sunday.
