Canterbury Album Reaches #2 On iTunes Rock Chart

Canterbury have released their second album ‘Heavy In The Day’ to a startling positive response! See inside for more details..

On the very day of the release of their second full length album, UK based rockers Canterbury find themselves at number #2 on the iTunes rock charts, placing just behind the rock legends Foo Fighters.

‘Heavy in the Day’ is the band’s follow up to their remarkably successful free download debut ‘Thank You’ and was produced by Peter Miles (Futures, We Are The Ocean) in Devon.

The band had this to say with regards to their latest release:

“We are so excited to announce the release of our second album ‘Heavy In The Day’. The album took a while to complete but we’ve come away with something we are so proud of. We definitely pushed ourselves more than ever on this record to make some of our most interesting and different material, we’ve all grown up alot and we think that comes out in the music and especially the lyrics, the songs are more personal this time round but are still about things every single person out there can relate to. The melodies are catchier, harmonies are sweeter and the heavy is heavier”

‘Heavy In The Day’ is available now Digitally and physically via Sweet Lime Records.

The band also have a small run of shows throughout July in support of the record. Dates are as follows:

July

09 Banquet Records Instore, Kingston
17 Stereo, Glasgow
18 The Falpper, Birmingham
19 The Barfly, London (Record release show)

August

03 Y Not festival, Matlock
