Metal band Butcher Babies, based in Los Angeles, will support The Defiled on their February 2014 No Place Like Home tour in the UK.
Opening act will be US-based The Killing Lights, featuring Michael Vampire of Vampires Everywhere.
Vocalist Heidi Shepherd of Butcher Babies explains how the band are looking forward to their UK return. “We’ve been itching to get back to the UK since our 2012 Download festival appearance,” she says. “So we were thrilled when we were asked to join The Defiled on their February tour.”
Bandmate Carla Harvey also says: “We can’t wait to see our fans across the pond and make some new ones!”
And Butcher Babies aren’t the only band who are excited. Michael Vampire explains how he an’t wait to join The Defiled’s UK run in February. “This will be my first time in the UK and I’m very proud to debut my new band The Killing Lights,” he says. “It’s an amazing feeling to be able to travel overseas and meet all the fans that have been supporting me over the years. We are playing some amazing venues and I look forward to meeting all of you real soon.”
Butcher Babies’ new album Goliath will be released on January 27 on Century Media Records. It was produced by Josh Wilbur, of Gojira, Lamb of God and Hatebreed fame. Described as having their “sights set to slay” on this forthcoming album, this will be a welcome offering to the metal community.
