Bands Not To Miss At Takedown Festival (Part 2)

Takedown Festival is this Saturday and James has picked out his top 5 bands to check out on the night. Check out who you need to see here.

Festival season is getting its first dose of action this weekend, with Takedown Festival kick starting all the antics! With a lineup bolstering some of the UK’s finest talent, it really has outdone itself this year and here at the HTF Towers we can not wait to get down to Southampton to mingle with you lovely bunch. It’s so hard to pick which bands we are looking forward to most and some didnt make the cut, but we think these 5 below are some of the hottest bands on the bill this weekend!

Centiment: 5.40pm- 6.10pm: Big Deal Clothing Stage

3 Parts InMe, Centiment bring their blend of computerised electronics and big beefy riffs into the fold that will see them make their first ever festival appearance. Having already seen their first live show in London, it’s safe to say that they will walk away with many new fans after Takedown, seeing Dave Mcpherson this angry is spine chilling!

Heart Of A Coward: 6.20pm- 6.50pm: Uprawr Stage
The anger pent up inside their latest album Severance was that of a raging Bull, with Godzilla sized riffs and angry vocals it was one of the best metal albums from last year. They will unleash their beast to the Takedown crowd whilst firing on all cylinders, this is a band that will bring a tight live performance whilst making you go completely nuts!

Hacktivist: 7.10-7.40pm: Uprawr Stage
Still one of Britain’s hot topic’s with their blend of technical metal grooves and grime MC vocals, the concotion is mesmerising and mind-blowing. With their debut EP and re-issue now settled into everyone’s ears, expect massive crowd participation during their stunning live show! It’s time to elevate!

Baby Godzilla: 8.00-8.30pm- Big Deal Clothing Stage
If you haven’t heard about this band’s destructive live show yet, then you have been living in a bubble! Once Baby Godzilla take to that Big Deal Clothing Stage expect nothing to be left standing! Instruments will be shattered, bodies will be battered and so much shit is going to be lost – prepare yourself for the monster within!

Heaven’s Basement: 10.00pm-11.00pm- Total Rock Stage
After the release of their stunning album Filthy Empire, it has been nothing but onwards and upwards for this band, who bring their good old fashioned rock n roll to the masses of Southampton. After touring the world over they will bring their electrifying live show to the Total Rock stage in what will be the headline performance of the weekend!
