Bands Not To Miss At Hit The Deck Festival (Part 2)

Here’s Part 2 of our bands not to miss at Hit The Deck feature. Check out who we recommend here.

We know you are all just as excited as us about Hit The Deck Festival. ‘The UK’s Premier Indoor Alternative Festival’ will take place in Bristol (Saturday 19th April 2014) and Nottingham (Sunday 20th April 2014). The times for each band are yet to be confirmed, but here is a list of some of Hit The Floor’s favourite bands taken from the amazing line-up; just because we are nice like that!

Brand New

After forming in 2000, New York band Brand New quickly took the music industry by storm; gaining a huge following of fans as a result of innovative and exciting musicianship. The quintet never expected that they would become so globally recognised. Alongside this festival, the alt rock band consisting of members: Jesse Lacey, Vincent Accardi, Garrett Tierney and Brian Lane, are also touring other venues across the UK this April.

Memphis May Fire

Dallas band Memphis May Fire are largely associated with Matty Mullins liquid vocals. Whether you classify the band as post-hardcore or Southern rockers, it’s hard to find a listener who isn’t excited by the bands playful rhythms and emotional lyrics.

Gnarwolves

Brighton based trio; Gnarwolves have been touring and performing in the underground music scene since forming in 2011. The band has supported the likes of: Funeral for a Friend, Lower Than Atlantis and The Story So Far in the past year (a great representation of their musical abilities).

Neck Deep

Neck Deep have quickly progressed from the ‘just for fun’ band that they were a year ago, to the recognised and touring band that they are today. ‘Wishful Thinking’ their album which was released in January 2014, was produced in the same home studio as ‘Rain in July’ and ‘A History of Bad Decisions’. Whilst the album offers a glimpse into Frontman Barlow’s thoughts, you can expect to see this and much at Hit The Deck Festival.

Hawthorne Heights

Melodic, post-hardcore band Hawthorne Heights have rocked the music scene for 12 years, perhaps due to the success of the combination of Casey Calvert, the latest rhythm guitarist’s screams and frontman Woodruff’s smooth vocals. We are beyond excited to witness the quintet in action at Hit The Deck.
