Sam Smith stormed last night’s Grammy Awards by winning four major accolades.
The singer-songwriter was presented with Record of the Year and Song of the Year for ‘Stay With Me’, as well as Best New Artist and Best Pop Vocal Album for his debut In The Lonely Hour.
When collecting his fourth award, Sam dedicated the success to his ex, saying “I want to thank the man who this record is about, who I fell in love with last year. Thank you so much for breaking my heart because you got me four Grammys.”
Sam also performed on the night, singing is winning song ‘Stay With Me’ with Mary J Blige.
Other winners on the night included Pharrell, taking home Best Pop Solo Performance and Best Music Video for ‘Happy’, and Best Urban Contemporary Album for G I R L. Beck was awarded Album of the Year for Morning Phase.
The Grammys will be broadcast in the UK on 4Music tonight (9th February) at 9pm.
