Rumours have been circulating that Prince is to headline this year’s Glastonbury Festival.
According to The Mirror, the artist could be set for his Glastonbury debut; headlining the final night of the festival, which takes place between June 25-29.
An unidentified source claimed that festival organiser Michael Eavis has made the deal with the US singer-songwriter: “They met in London and a deal was struck,” said the source. “The reaction towards Prince during his time in the capital has been immense and it cemented his desire to play at Glastonbury. He is determined to raise the bar and give a set to remember. There will be a few surprises in store.”
Prince has been playing secret London gigs all month, with plans to play two more over the next few days before heading to Manchester:
