Matt Willis Joins Cast Of EastEnders

Matt Willis, of Busted, is to become a temporary cast member on legendary British soap opera ‘Eastenders’.

The pop rocker was a founding member of band Busted until their split in 2005. He has recently joined brand new supergroup McBusted, a combination of Busted and McFly members, and will also be heading to Albert Square, playing the new love interest of Stacy Branning.

Willis said: “I am so thrilled to be a part of such an iconic show. I grew up watching EastEnders, so this is really exciting for me.”

The official account of EastEnders also tweeted welcomingly: “We’re delighted to announce @mattjwillis is joining #EastEnders for a short stint. Welcome to Walford Matt!”

Willis has confirmed that he will also be making a television appearance on ‘Birds of a Feather’, and will perform 35 concerts as part of McBusted in 2014.
