After announcing plans to collaborate with Tony Bennet on a whole jazz album, Lady Gaga has shown a preview of what’s to come with a reworking of her 2011 single ‘You And I’. You can hear the track below.
While Bennet doesn’t feature, the track does include the talents of legendary jazzman Brian Newman. “‘You and I’ the jazz version after too many whiskies with Newman,” GaGa tweeted with a link to the song.
Jazz musician Brian Newman replied: “@ladygaga Do you remember the blindfolded take we did of that, babe?!! Hahaha!!! Lets do it again soon! Always a pleasure!! Love ya!”
Legendary jazz singer Tony Bennett recently confirmed plans to collaborate with Lady GaGa on a whole jazz record. He added: “It’s going to really reaffirm that she’s one of the best jazz singers that anyone’s ever heard.”
Meanwhile, GaGa will release her third studio album ‘ARTPOP‘ worldwide in spring 2013.
