Jack Johnson And Ben Howard To Headline Somersault Festival

A new festival this summer in the South-West – find out the details here!

Ben Howard

A brand new summer-camp festival is set to take place over five days in the heart of the South West, and the line-up is already looking spectacular.

Located at the beautiful Castle Hill Estate, Somersault has just announced two of its headline acts who will perform over Thursday 17 until Monday 21 July, with a stellar support line-up announcement to follow soon, featuring even more world-renowned artists.

Jack Johnson needs no introduction due to his well-known songs as well as surfing skills and environmental and social campaigning – his six studio albums and two live albums have sold over 20 million copies around the world, and his appearance at Somersault will be his only UK festival gig for the year. Meanwhile, Ben Howard will return to his South West roots for the Somersault Festival and will play what is sure to be a memorable homecoming gig after winning two BRIT Awards and playing Glastonbury’s Pyramid Stage in 2013.

According to festival organisers, the unique ‘summer holiday’ theme of the event makes it so much more than just a music outing. Offering under-canvas encampments of crafts and culture, as well as fun-fuelled feasts and fireside festivities by night, campers can enjoy surf trips to nearby Woolacombe and try their hand at handplaning, coasteering, wind surfing, kite surfing, sailing, canoeing and paddleboarding. There will be activities back on dry land as well, including horse riding, trekking, moor running and mountain biking on nearby Exmoor, plus falconry, archery, yoga, circus skills and loads more.

Day tickets start from £39.50 and long weekend tickets are selling from £99.50 but for more information on Somersault Festival and to purchase tickets, head to their official website.
