What man would pass up the opportunity to share a kiss with supermodel Cara Delevigne? Well, Harry Styles has, although it appears this decision was down to work commitments and not personal preference. This would have been Harry’s acting debut but he was touring so had to turn the role down. If he had taken the part, he would have shared an on-screen kiss with Cara.
Harvey Weinstein said: “I offered Harry a role in Tulip Fever but he was touring so he had to turn it down… The part ended up going to Matthew Morrison, and let me tell you this, the very first scene he shot was one of him kissing Cara Delevingne. So I’m sure Harry won’t be turning be down the next role I offer him.”
The One Direction singer was offered a part in Tulip Fever, a 17th century romance film about an artist who falls in love with a married woman who he has to paint. The film also stars Judi Dench, Christopher Waltz and Zach Galifianakis.
Harvey knows that casting Harry would have given the film an instant hype. The One Direction singer is a huge star and we’re sure millions of his fans would have loved to see him take on the role. Judging by what Harvey said, this isn’t the last opportunity for Harry to break into acting.
Harvey explained: “He’s like Errol Flynn; he’s got that swashbuckling charm. Definite star potential… I think he’d be great. No question.”
