From Beyoncé to Iggy Azalea, the top A-listers of the music world hit the red carpet in Los Angeles on January 26 for the 56th Grammy Awards ceremony. All celebrities bring their best style to the Grammys, or so they think. So here’s a round-up of what the A-listers were wearing….
Katy Perry stood out on the red carpet in a unique white tulle ball gown. The Valentino Couture dress had a sheer top and featured musical notes on the skirt. Even though she looked perfect, we think that Katy Perry took the theme of the night a little too literally, and we wish she had worn a pretty ball gown minus the cheesy motif instead.
Rita Ora looked stunning in a metallic Lanvin number. She wore her blonde hair in Marilyn Monroe-style curls and wore smoky eye make-up and babydoll pink lips. Rita Ora carried a metallic mini clutch bag and teamed her outfit with strappy sandals, which showed off her red pedicure. What we didn’t quite like was her fancy nail art which featured playful moustaches and smiley faces motifs. Rita’s date, Calvin Harris, looked equally handsome in a black suit complete with a black bow tie.
Another gorgeous outfit was that worn by Taylor Swift. The 24-year-old singer looked sophisticated in her gold Gucci gown, and the short-sleeved ensemble fit her tall, svelte frame perfectly. Keeping the focus on the amazing detailing of the dress, her hair was tied in a cute ponytail.
Kelly Osbourne looked amazing in a black floor length Badgley Mischka gown. Featuring gold embellishments on the shoulders and a cape, Kelly said that the dress was inspired by her dad’s band, Black Sabbath. In a sentimental gesture, she even chose to wear one of Ozzy Osbourne’s crosses hung down her back

Twenty three year old Iggy Azalea wore an Elie Saab Pre-Fall 2013 white embellished gown for this year’s Grammy Awards ceremony. The Aussie recording artist accessorised her outfit with a Jennifer Fisher cuff, and finished off the elegant look with sleekly brushed-back hair, a magenta mani and a pink lip.
After showing off her incredibly hot body on stage during her performance with Jay Z, Beyoncé stepped onto the red carpet and continued to do so. She looked absolutely amazing in her Michael Costello sheer white dress which featured an open back. Speaking about the dress, designer Costello said:
“It was incredible! We didn’t have any of her sizes or measurements. The dress was just made to fit a sample mannequin. It’s smaller than a size 4. She is tiny! That dress is at least a 2/4. She looks amazing. I just love the way it all came together. Ty [Bey’s stylist] knew it was going to fit.“
Beyoncé teamed her white gown with Christian Louboutin heels and Lorraine Schwartz jewellery.
We didn’t think Pharell Williams’ outfit was Grammys appropriate. Ignoring the formal dress code, the US music producer teamed an oversized brown fedora hat with a red and white bomber jacket and a pair of jeans. His bizarre choice of headgear stole the show, but while it may have looked like a joke, the hat was actually vintage from Vivienne Westwood’s 1982-1983 ‘Buffalo‘ collection.
We all agree that Alicia Keys is super gorgeous. She attended the Grammy Awards ceremony in a cobalt blue Armani halter gown. The plunging gown featured a black Swarovski crystal belt that showed off the singer’s small waist, but did nothing for her pear-shaped figure. Keeping her accessories to a minimum, the singer simply wore black crystal earrings to match the belt as well as her diamond wedding ring. Alicia Keys kept makeup to a minimum too, and wore her black hair swept up. Her music producer husband looked great in a grey fitted suit with a grey dress shirt underneath.
Paula Patton made us believe that there is such a thing as too much animal print. Paula is never one to shy away from risks, but she took her risks to another level when she wore a zebra-printed dress by Nicolas Jebran. Featuring a two-headed animal dueling it out over her cleavage at the neckline, we never want to see this dress again!

We’re not sure who Nadeea is, but we certainly know that she was one of the worst dressed during this year’s Grammys. Her hair looked awful, she was popping out of her dress, and we surely didn’t like the rhinestone lace-up sandal booties she wore.
