Zach Braff Discusses Coldplay And Bon Iver Featuring Soundtrack To New Movie

Zach Braff is in discussion of getting artists of the likes of Coldplay and Bon Iver to contribute to the sountrack from his new movie ‘Wish I was Here‘ according to Rolling Stone.

The soundtrack currently features artists The Shins, Cat Power, Paul Simon and more, Braff explains in an audio commentary his intentions for the soundtrack and reasonings for the choices as well. He explained that he wanted something “special and unique to the film‘ and from there asked the artists what they thought about watching the film and then writing a piece of music to coincide which is both funny and emotional. Braff went on to discuss the collaboration with Coldplay and Cat Power, and he revealed that it was Chris Martin who suggested a female song for the title rack and how “we both kind of simuntaneously said Cat Power‘.
Zach Braff made it clear how honoured and excited he was about the soundtrack, which can be entire streamed, as well as a track-by-track commentary, atEntertainment Weekly. The film is due for release in the US on July 25th but no confirmed date has been set for the UK as of yet.
