Vampire Weekend Win Best Alternative Album At Grammys

The New Yorkers pick up an award while Daft Punk dominate.

The Best Alternative Album at the 56th Grammy Awards was handed over to Vampire Weekend for their mega awesome third record ‘Modern Vampires of The City’. The Columbia Uni grads turned Indie idols fought off competition from Neko Case ‘The Worse Things Get, The Harder I Fight, The Harder I Fight, The More I Love You’, The National ‘Trouble Will Find Me’, Nine Inch Nails ‘Hesitation Marks’ and Tame Impala ‘Lonerism’ to win the award.

The big winners on the night were helmeted, French, electronic duo Daft Punk who gobbled up five awards, including Record of the Year for ‘Get Lucky’ and Album of the Year for ‘Random Access Memories’.
