U2 Set Out On World Tour In 2015!

Full U2 world tour dates here!

Despite U2 frontman Bono being involved in a cycling accident recently, U2 have announced the first dates of their eagerly anticipated Innocence + Experience tour. The tour begins in North America next spring and rolls into Europe in Autumn 2015.

The singer was rushed to hospital last month following a “high energy bicycle accident” in Central Park, New York City. The superstar suffered facial fractures, a broken arm and a shattered shoulder and underwent five hours of reconstructive surgery.

Due to this, the band had to cancel a week-long residency of NBC’s The Tonight Show in the US. Their website stated: “It looks like we will have to do our Tonight Show residency another time – we’re one man down. Bono has injured his arm in a cycling spill in Central Park and requires some surgery to repair it.”

All being well, Bono will have recovered in time for the Innocence + Experience show to get on the road in 2015. And the band have a treat in store that should have fans rushing to buy their U2 tickets.

U2’s last world tour was the biggest music tour ever undertaken. Playing to packed stadiums around the globe on their 360 tour, the group provided fans with a spectacular lights and pyrotechnics show that embellished the music.

The plan now is to showcase their latest tracks in arenas, rather than stadiums—and in an entirely different way. Bassist Adam Clayton revealed more to Rolling Stone magazine recently:

“One night would be a kind of loud, explosive rock’n’roll kind of event and then the other night’s show take the acoustic arrangements of some of the songs, and kind of present those songs in a much more intimate way.”

The dates which have been announced so far for U2’s Songs of Innocence tour begin next May in Vancouver and end in Paris on 11th November. Fans will be hoping that they take it easy before then…
