After numerous critically acclaimed singles and EP’s, Kent quartet Two Wounded Birds are finally ready to release their debut album in June.
Signed to Jacob Graham’s (The Drums) Holiday Recordings label, the band have teased fans by unveiling two brand new tracks from their self-titled debut album. ‘The Outer World’ is a dreamy and delicate track. It’s mature, melancholic with mesmerising vocals. The other track ‘To Be Young’ speeds things up a bit with a slice of upbeat indie perfection very much resembling The Drums.
Jacob boasts that the band’s songs “capture the American spirit with clear allegiances to the Beach Boys, the Ramones and Elvis—all while still acknowledging the band’s British roots”.
They’ve toured with the likes of Glasvegas, Grouplove, The Black Lips and The Drums garnering an impressive world wide fan base. They’ll continue touring throughout this year and perform at a number of festivals during the summer (see below).
Their full length self-titled debut LP is out June 4th. Until then, listen to ‘The Outer World’ and ‘To Be Young’ below!
