From the ashes of Melodica Melody And Me comes new outfit The Melodic.
Based around Rudi Schmidt and Huw Williams (who held their previous moniker), The Melodic have been recording their debut album.
The Melodic have also launched a new initiative – their ‘Living Room Tour’, in which fans nominate chosen locations for the band to play. Confirmed venues so far include a laundrette and an empty mansion in Belgravia.

The band said:
“We wanted to do things differently this time. After playing a couple Sofar Sounds shows we wondered whether more people across the country would like to have us perform for them in their home towns, in places they love – completely free of charge and unamplified.”
