Sonic Youth are set to re-issue their seminal album ‘Daydream Nation’ on June 5.
Via a post on their official website, the band announced today (April 5) that it will be released alongside a re-issue of Ciccone Youth’s ‘Whitey’. Chiccone Youth were a 1988 side project for Sonic Youth, for whom they were joined by Minutemen member Mike Watt.
The original 2x LP and CD edition of ‘Daydream Nation’ will be available along with the CD version of Ciccone Youth’s ‘Whitey’ on June 5.
The band also announced that further re-issues of their currently out-of-print pre-Geffen catalog, which will include ‘Bad Moon Rising’, ‘EVOL’, ‘Sister’, ‘Confusion is Sex’ and a ‘Screaming Fields of Sonic Love’ DVD, will be released on undisclosed dates.
