Paul McCartney and Nirvana Perform ‘Cut Me Some Slack’ For Sandy Relief

Paul McCartney and Nirvana rock out a new track for Sandy Relief! Watch it here!

Paul And Nirvana

So it actually happened! Paul McCartney of The Beatles teamed up with the remaining members of Nirvana, Dave Grohl & Krist Novoselic, along with Pat Smear at the Sandy Relief show at Madison Square Gardens last night (13th Dec)

The supergroup performed a new bluesy track called ‘Cut Me Some Slack’ which was written by Grohl and McCartney for Grohl’s upcoming documentary ‘Sound City’

Grohl commented: “Tonight I played with Paul McCartney, Krist Novoselic and Pat Smear. We did a song that we wrote together. It’s a song that we wrote and recorded, no-one has ever heard it before so nobody knows it exists. I think people were expecting us to do a Beatles song or a Nirvana song, but when I first called Paul to see if he would come jam with us none of us wanted to do a Beatles song or a Nirvana song, we wanted to do a new song so we wrote and recorded a new song in a day and it’s heavy as fuck.”
