Mystery Jets And Bastille Set To Headline Blissfields Festival!

See what Dan Smith of Bastille has to say on playing the festival….

Set to headline this year’s Blissfields festival on July 5th/6th/7th at Vicarage Farm, Hampshire are the amazing Mystery Jets and Bastille! Dan Smith of Bastille said: “We’re massively excited about our first ever headline slot at a festival. Particularly because we love Blissfields so much, and because they’ve been so supportive to us over the last couple of years.” Their debut album Bad Blood will be released on the 4th of March, just before their headline tour which includes two dates at the Shepards Bush Empire in London! Dan Smith continued to say to NME: “We basically made the album in a studio the size of a cupboard, so it was one extreme to the other. Producing the record, I wanted to off-set epic sounding instrumentation with lyrics that combine intimate stories or conversation. The contrast was something that appealed to me.”

Along with these two massive acts for the 13th annual Blissfields event will also be Post War Years, Beans On Toast, Matt Corby and Clean Bandit.

Bastille release their next single Pompeii on 25th of Febraury, “It’s a moment of reflection and introspection, but they’re trapped in time so it’s a moment that’ll go on for an eternity,” says Smith.
